The 18th Annual AGI Conference

August 10 – 13, 2025

IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL FROM REYKJAVÍK UNIVERSITY, ICELAND

The frontier of mind and machine is closer than ever. Join the world’s leading researchers at AGI-25, where ideas, architectures, and insights collide to advance the future of thinking machines.

Welcome to AGI-25

Since the 1980s, Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) has grown from an obscure dream into a critical global pursuit. But while the applied AI world moves at breakneck speed, achieving true human-level AGI — and building it wisely — remains humanity’s greatest technological challenge.

At AGI-25, researchers, developers, and thinkers from around the world gather to share the latest breakthroughs, debate the biggest questions, and push the field forward. Whether you’re scaling deep learning systems, inventing new cognitive architectures, modeling biological minds, or exploring radical new paradigms, your perspective is vital.

Join us as we shape the future of intelligence — together.

About the AGI Conference Series

Established in 2008, the AGI Conference series is the world’s oldest and most prestigious gathering dedicated exclusively to general machine intelligence research. Attended, live and virtually, by over 500 academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders annually, this is the premier event for developments in AGI.

AGI-25 continues this tradition by highlighting groundbreaking advancements at the forefront of AGI development. Join global researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and innovative thinkers as we:

  • Share and explore cutting-edge AGI research.

  • Engage in critical, thought-provoking discussions.

  • Network with a diverse community of AI pioneers and innovators.

Join us as we define the future of intelligent machines.

The broader and deeper our collective understanding, the better chance we have of not just building AGI, but building AGI that’s truly intelligent in the deepest possible sense —  AGI that enhances human civilization and extends the frontiers of mind and being.

– Ben Goertzel, AGI Soecity Chairman

Call for Papers

⚠️ Notice, CFP Deadline Extension:

Deadline for Contributed Paper submissions:
–> May 12th 2025

AGI-25 is, first and foremost, a technical research conference, inviting AI researchers, academics, and industry professionals to submit and present original research papers. The AGI conference series is the only major conference series devoted wholly and specifically to the creation of AI systems possessing general intelligence at the human level and ultimately beyond.

By gathering together active researchers in the field, for presentation of results and discussion of ideas, we accelerate our progress toward our common goal.

Call for Workshops

Deadline for Workshop Proposals:

–> May 03 2025

AGI-25 will include one day of workshops, tutorials and software/hardware demos. These sessions are expected to fill either a half or full day of presentations, thematically linked, and will be both live-hosted and live-streamed.
