We offered four prizes this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Kurzweil Prize for Best AGI Paper<\/strong> US$1250, went to Patrick\u00a0Hammer\u00a0and Tony\u00a0Lofthouse for their paper <em>\u2018OpenNARS\u00a0for Applications\u2019: Architecture and Control<\/em><\/li><li><strong>Springer Prize for Best Paper<\/strong> EUR1000, went to Evgenii\u00a0Vityaev, Alexander\u00a0Demin, and\u00a0Yurii\u00a0Kolonin for their paper <em>Logical Probabilistic Biologically Inspired Cognitive Architecture<\/em><\/li><li><strong>Kurzweil Prize for Best AGI Idea<\/strong> US$1000, went to Daniel Elton for his paper <em>Self-Explaining AI as an Alternative to Interpretable AI<\/em><\/li><li><strong>OpenCog Foundation Prize for Best Student Paper<\/strong> US$250, went to Andres\u00a0Suarez-Madrigal for his work, in conjunction with Ben Goertzel and Gino You, on the paper <em>Guiding Symbolic Natural Language Grammar Induction<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To register for free for the virtual AGI-20 conference, now extended to June 22-26, 2020, please submit your email on this Google form.
