Each year the AGI conference bestows prizes for exceptional contributions to the AGI field. We offered four prizes this year.

  • Kurzweil Prize for Best AGI Paper US$1250, went to Patrick Hammer and Tony Lofthouse for their paper ‘OpenNARS for Applications’: Architecture and Control
  • Springer Prize for Best Paper EUR1000, went to Evgenii Vityaev, Alexander Demin, and Yurii Kolonin for their paper Logical Probabilistic Biologically Inspired Cognitive Architecture
  • Kurzweil Prize for Best AGI Idea US$1000, went to Daniel Elton for his paper Self-Explaining AI as an Alternative to Interpretable AI
  • OpenCog Foundation Prize for Best Student Paper US$250, went to Andres Suarez-Madrigal for his work, in conjunction with Ben Goertzel and Gino You, on the paper Guiding Symbolic Natural Language Grammar Induction
