Since the conference schedule was very full this year, we will again announce prizes after the conference conclusion. <br><br>We have four prizes this year  <strong>Kurzweil Prize for Best AGI Paper<\/strong> ($1250),  <strong>Springer Best Paper Award<\/strong> (\u20ac1000),  <strong>Kurzweil Prize for Best AGI Idea<\/strong> <strong> <\/strong>($1000) and  <strong>OpenCog Foundation Prize for Best Student Paper<\/strong> <strong> <\/strong>($250). <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the winners are:<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kurzweil Prize for Best AGI Paper<\/strong>:\u00a0&#8220;Extending MicroPsi\u2019s Model of Motivation and Emotion for Conversational Agents&#8221;\u00a0<br><br><strong>Springer Best Paper Award<\/strong>:\u00a0&#8220;Cognitive Module Networks for Grounded Reasoning&#8221;<br><br><strong>Kurzweil Prize for Best AGI Idea<\/strong>:\u00a0Arthur Franz&#8217;s &#8220;Toward an efficient AIXI approximation given the properties of our universe&#8221;<br><br><strong>OpenCog Foundation Prize for Best Student Paper<\/strong>:\u00a0&#8220;Adaptive Neuro-Symbolic Network Agent&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winners will be contacted via email and the prize distribution will be coordinated over that email chain by Matthew Ikle.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each year the AGI conference bestows prizes for exceptional contributions to the AGI field.
